I have driven the northern stretch of the A82 along the banks of loch Lomond countless times, usually on-route to various photographic locations further afield and the little float of pines that is Tarbet Isle has always caught my eye. So, I determined to find somewhere to pull the car in and clamber along the shore to get a shot of it on this dreich December day. Conditions were ripe with a brooding sky that appealed to my senses and I fortunately found a great wee stump of weathered wood just out from the shore as great foreground interest. Shot on a canon 7D with a 10 stop ND filter, 240sec, f14 @ iso100
