Shell has paid famous celebrity pop stars to front their #MakeTheFuture PR campaign as they try to appeal to millennials as their industry has seen a sharp drop in young people wanting to work for oil companies. The #MakeTheFuture festival is Shell’s flagship recruitment campaign that presents the oil company as a leading innovator in carbon free technologies when in fact only 4% of Shell’s investments are in renewable energy.
