Product: submissions guidelines

Product is a quarterly culture magazine that promotes Scottish and Scottish-based writers and artists, and encourages intelligent, provocative journalism.

Each issue of the magazine is themed, with 40 of the magazine’s 84 pages dedicated to a particular subject, such as Music, Film or Fiction.

We publish two – three pieces of fiction per issue, and occasional poetry. We accept unsolicited fiction and poetry contributions via email, and encourage suggestions for features ideas to be considered for our themed section.

We rarely publish fiction of more than 3,000 words, although exceptions can be made.

We also invite contributions of new photography and art. Photo-stories and artists’ pages are regular features in the themed section of the magazine.
